At Fish Trade Supplies we take care of all your UCO (Used Cooking Oil) worries. Being Registered Collectors /Carriers of Waste Cooking Oil with the Environment Agency means we keep up to date with all the current legislation's and policies.
It is the responsibility of the producers of the UCO (caterers) to ensure they follow the Duty Of Care standards set by the EU. So if YOU allow your UCO to be removed by a waste oil collection company that is not registered, YOUR company is breaking the law
In the UK more than 10,000 tonnes of UCO (Used Cooking Oil / Waste Oil) is produced every week.
The EU legislation now prevents this being used in animal feed so the majority of it is recycled and used as bio diesel.
We provide all our customers with appropriate containers or alternately oil can be returned in its original container.
We make waste cooking oil collections weekly, fortnightly or as required just discuss with our sales department how frequently you would like us to call.
For health and safety reasons we will not remove any containers that are
over filled or do not have the correct lids on.
